The Scout Adventure Challenge is the country's premiere youth-based adventure race for those 14 and older. This 12-hour event incorporates all the traditional adventure racing disciplines: navigation, mountain biking, trekking, and kayaking, plus some special surprises. As with years past, this year's event will include an Adult division.

Basic Race Details:

• 6th Annual Scout Adventure Challenge
• Saturday, July 12th, 2008
• Teams consist of 4 person teams
• Youth, Adult and All Age divisions
• Over $5,000 in prize giveaways.

In order to be ranked, teams must move together as a unit and visit designated checkpoints. The course and disciplines are subject to change due to weather, safety, or other unforeseen concerns as determined by the race director.

Course Summary:

• Trek/Trail Sections: These sections will be held during the day and at night. The trek sections will be challenging many different patchs to finish the race.
• Mountain Bike Sections: This section includes steep climbs, steep descents, and beautiful fireroads.
• Paddling Sections: Details on the paddle section are forthcoming.

• This is a "Supported" race (i.e., each team needs to provide at least 1 crew person who can drive a vehicle)
• Carpooling is strongly encouraged. There are a limited number of parking spaces available and additional cars will be charged for entry into a secondary parking lot and shuttle to the location.

• REGISTER EARLY! Registration will be taken on a first come first serve basis. Please be aware that event registration is limited!
